METC 2018 Presentations
You have mastered the basics of working with Google tools, but what’s next? In this session you will learn about G Suite super powers to create new, engaging, collaborative learning experiences for your students using the Google tools you already know and love including Docs, Slides, and Forms.
We challenge our students to engage in problem solving and critical thinking, but how often do our teachers get that same opportunity? In this session, attendees will gain insight into how two neighboring districts developed a professional development partnership that utilizes the Design Thinking process to increase student engagement and achievement. We will discuss the logistics involved in developing this partnership, tips for selecting participants, and developing session content.
Are you looking for a personal assistant to organize your calendar, remind you of meetings and even update your class web page? What about someone to schedule emails and send out student grades? Look no further than your Google account for a personal assistant to do all that and more! In this session, we will discuss how to automate classroom tasks to make you more organized and efficient. We will look at extensions, add-ons and best practices for Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive/Docs and Google Sites that will add hours back into your week.
